EDWARD PARR
CLASSIC AND COLLECTOR CAR APPRAISER
YOUR CLASSIC/COLLECTOR CAR IS ONE OF YOUR MOST VALUABLE ASSETS YOU OWN AND YOU SHOULD KNOW WHAT IT IS WORTH.
My name is Edward Parr and I am at your service.
All of my life I have admired classic cars. My exposure to the great classics began at the age of 2 years old with visits to my great uncles house. He had built a 1929 Ford 5 window coupe which was the talk of the town. As I grew older, I was attracted to tri 5 Chevys and as a teenager fell in love with 1960's and 1970's Chevelles, Camaros and Novas. All of my cars from teenage up to present have been old Chevys.
In addition to hands on experience, I have studied multiple publications pertaining to classic cars and have been a member of various car clubs. I have obtained invaluable knowledge from members of the "greatest generation" who were original owners of these classics and gave me insight into the "good old days".
The after market is my speciality (muscle cars, hot rods, resto-mods, and customs). My appraisal experience includes mostly 1950 to 1976 Chevrolets, Fords and Mopar. I am a member of the NADA and stay updated on current market prices of all classic cars. In addition, I have completed a 15 hour class on Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practices.
The following pages include photos of some of the cars that I have appraised.
A typical appraisal report consists of a binder with cover photo, description of car including
all specialty items on the car, and other extras, comparison with other similar cars and their selling prices, and a final reconciliation using NADA guide and comparison data. It also includes a minimum of 16 photos. My appraisals have been used for insurance, legal purposes (divorce and probate) and setting a selling price. But there are many other reasons to get your car appraised for your own curiosity or to prove to your wife that it deserves to be in the garage.
